Passing along family traits
Everyone knows that Dana and I LOVE our sleep. Well I'm happy to say that Reese has picked up this trait from us. At 3 1/2 weeks old, she slept last night from 10:30 PM to 6 AM and then from 6:45 AM to 9 AM. I'm getting more sleep with her than I did while I was working! It's pretty awesome.
Now we've been warned that babies who are great sleepers don't always stay that way, but I'm going to appreciate every second of it while we have it!

NASCAR driving experience
Dana started celebrating his 35th birthday a bit early this past weekend when he and his dad went to the Texas Motor Speedway to do the Nascar driving experience. After taking a class, they sped Nascar vehicles around the track. Thankfully they both came back without injuries (which we really appreciated since Ron had already been bitten by a snake in our garage earlier in the week!)

Grandma Judy and Grandpa Ron meet Reese
Reese is LOVING meeting her grandparents! After Christine's mom, Nancy ("Nana") visited over Labor Day weekend, Dana's parents arrived for a 2-week visit. Reese is enjoying all of the attention, and Ron and Judy are brushing up on their childcare skills since they will be taking care of Reese for awhile when Christine goes back to work.

Here's a picture of Reese at about 2 weeks old. She's growing so fast! She now weighs 7 lbs, 11 oz and is 20 inches long (~40% percentile for both height and weight).

Flowers in honor of Reese
Today Grandpa Ron & Grandma Judy had a rose at their church service in Monterey, CA in honor of Reese's birth. This lucky little girl is being celebrated around the world!
