Washington University KKGs spend a weekend in Dallas

After almost 20 years of being friends, 9 of my sorority sisters reunited this weekend in Dallas. This was something like our 38th trip together! This time everyone brought their families and stayed at either our house or Angie's house... since she now conveniently lives one street over. We had so much fun! And as amazing as it sounds with 26 people, it was stress free (I think in part because of the "committees" we all joined to jointly plan the weekend... it was just like our sorority days!) We swam with the kids at the pool, BBQed, had a fun date night out at Nicola's and the Gingerman, played mini-golf at Main Event and enjoyed brunch at Whiskey Cake. It was a weekend I won't forget. Thank you all for coming in to see us. I love you gals!

Feeding the Homeless

I finally had the opportunity to volunteer with an organization that I've been following for quite awhile... the Soup Mobile. Each day they fill up vans with soup and other great food and serve 600 lunches to the homeless in downtown Dallas. Some of my favorite girls from work went with me, and we had a blast! It was a great experience and a neat team experience. I can't wait to do it again.

Date Night at Cafe Instanbul

Saturday we had a great time at the annual Boyle family Cinco de Mayo and Kentucky Derby party. Even though our horse bets didn't pay out, Reese had her first experience on an outdoor swing, and she loved it! So many fun giggles to make us smile.
Saturday evening we hired a babysitter and went out for an adults-only date night (yay!). It felt so nice to put on a dress and high heels and have a romantic night out. We had a delicious meal at Cafe Instanbul, where we sat on the patio (the weather is perfect this time of year), enjoyed tasty lamb and eggplant dishes with HUGE bread (check out the photos) and watched a performing belly dancer.
