Reese's 7 month photo shoot

We finally fit in Reese's 6-month photos around her 7th month birthday. We shot them at the Grapevine botanical gardens. We love our photographer, Melissa @ Cherished Memories, so much! She has such a gift and is great to work with! I have a hunch that she'll be photographing our family for years.

Sweet memories

It's true what they say... children really do grow up so fast. I want to hold on to Reese's childhood and just savor every minute. These are the memories I want to keep forever.

Like father, like daughter

These two are like two peas in a pod... Reese is such a daddy's girl, and she has Dana wrapped around her little fingers. It's incredibly adorable to witness their love for each other.

When we first arrived in Florida, they were so tired from the early morning flight that they conked out immediately for a nap. I found them lying like this and had to snap a pic! It just made me laugh : )

Spring Break

Reese, Dana and I just arrived home after taking a week-long family vacation. We had some wind and rain a few of the days, but it was still so nice just to have quality (and quantity) time together.

We split our time between the Westin in Hollywood, Florida and the Sheraton in Ft. Lauderdale. They were both on the beach and quite nice.

The best part was that it was Reese's first time in a pool, and first time at the beach. We loved introducing her to the water and sand. We took so many adorable swimsuits for her - she was quite the fashionista on this trip!

She LOVED splashing around in the pool, but didn't seem to really grasp the idea of the sand - she was more excited by pulling Dad's hair. It will be interesting to see how she reacts next time we visit the beach and she's a bit older.

A friend recommended that we buy this little kid's sun tent for her and it was the best purchase ever! She played for hours while we read and relaxed and enjoyed a doubly perfect view of the ocean and our sweet daughter.

Another friend gifted us this travel tub that was shaped like a duck (and quacked like one too!) Reese laughed hysterically every time we made it quack.

We were also pleasantly surprised at the incredible restaurants we found in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. We ate and ate and ate! The food was soooo good. A few of our favorites: Michael's Genuine, Market 17, Il Mercado, The Dinner Place.

Reese is getting teeth

Reese is officially teething. Right at 6 months, we were able to see her two middle bottom teeth starting to come in... but you can't see them here! They're still too little to capture in a photo.
